New intermediate class that combines wheelthrowing and handbuilding! As you expand and refine your throwing skills, learn how to incorporate a variety of handbuilding techniques to transform your works into more complex and intricate forms. This class provides a wonderful opportunity for you to hone your personal style in clay and explore the possibilities of ceramics in your future, i.e. art shows and other venues.

Ages 7-11 • January 19 - March 8 • 8 Saturdays, 9:45-11:45am

Children can let their imaginations take form with the exciting process of handbuilding with clay. Designed for both the beginning and continuing student, this class will employ relief sculpting, slab construction, coiling and glazing to create fantasy or functional objects such as figures, vessels and tiles. Children will learn basic skills and develop new techniques while exploring a wide variety of clay handbuilding processes and projects.

Includes firing fee.$190 (supplies included)
